“YUNDOLA” university complex, as a forestry enterprise of the University of Forestry, is situated in the picturesque point where the Rhodopes and Rila mountains stick together, in Yundola resort, just 17 km from the “Rhodopean pearl” – the town of Velingrad. The awesome landscape is typically mountainous, composed of spacious meadows and mainly coniferous forests comprising Scots pine, spruce and fir as well as a large beech stands. It covers a total area of about 5,190 ha and is 130 km from the capital Sofia. The complex has good hunting stocks of FALLOW DEER, ROE DEER, WILD BOAR, MOUFLON and BROWN BEAR as well as CAPERCAILLIE and WOOD PIGEON.
