Varshets is located in the valley of the Botunya River, in the skirts of the North slopes of Western Stara Planina, at the foot of the awesome mountain range “Koznitsa”, which protects it from cold winds and temperature fluctuation. It is 90km to the north of the capital Sofia, with altitude 380-400m. The climate is moderate continental with sub-mountainous influence. The average temperature is about 12°C (in January: -2°C; in July: 21.4°C). We have warm and long autumn, cold winter and pleasantly warm summer.
