The resort is situated on the south slopes of the genuine Sredna Gora Mountain, at an altitude of 365m, 160km from the capital Sofia. The climate is transitionally continental, sub-mountainous, with Mediterranean influence. The average annual temperature is 11.9°C. The summer is hot, the autumn is warm and sunny, with slight rains.

Mineral water (22 springs): hyper thermal (37-52°C) slightly mineralised, hydro-carbonate-sulphate, chlorine, sodium, fluorine, silicon, with high alkaline reaction, part of the springs are slightly radonic
