The resort is situated on the south slopes of the genuine Sredna Gora Mountain, at an altitude of 365m, 160km from the capital Sofia. The climate is transitionally continental, sub-mountainous, with Mediterranean influence. The average annual temperature is 11.9°C. The summer is hot, the autumn is warm and sunny, with slight rains.
