State Game Breeding Station “SESSLAV” is situated about 350 km from the capital Sofia, in the northeastern part of Bulgaria. It covers an area of 6,107 ha. The landscape is low hilly to plain with dominating deciduous forests. The nearest airport is 170 km near the city of Varna. The main game species are: RED DEER, ROE DEER and WILD BOAR as well as PHEASANT. The predatory species include WOLF, JACKAL, FOX and WILD CAT. The biggest trophies obtained in the region of the Station are: for red deer – 14 kg; for roe deer – 580 g and for wild boar – 32 cm.
