State Game Breeding Station “PRESSLAV” is situated in the Northeastern part of Bulgaria on the slopes of the Preslavsko-Dragoevska Mountain, a spur of the eastern part of the Balkan range – the longest mountain range in the country. Its area is about 10,000 ha with an average altitude of 100 to 200 m. The relief is plain to rolling with large deciduous forests comprised of beech and oak massifs. The Station is 120 km from Varna Airport and about 370 km from the capital Sofia. The main game species are: RED DEER, ROE DEER, WILD BOAR, JACKAL, FOX and WILD CAT. Among the finest trophies gained here is one for red deer with weight of 12.340 kg and 236 CIC points.
Tourist information:
“Presslav” offers fishing and photo hunting. There are a good opportunities for development of rural tourism in the surrounding area.
