“Healing Fastinga powerful method of body purification, rehabilitation, and treatment”. That’s how we could briefly define the essence of the healing fasting system, the popularity of which is constantly rising around the world.
For Bulgaria, healing fasting was first introduced by the renowned Bulgarian natural healer Lidia Kovacheva, who developed her exceptionally beneficial practical healing system. Being a disciple and follower of Lidia Kovacheva, both with her in 1998  Dr Verginia Georgieva opened a Natural Healing Center in Sofia. Subsequently, as from 2000, they introduced organized fasting therapeutic and prophylactic activity in the town of BANKYA(see BANKYA health resort). After Lidia Kovacheva’s death in 2002, Dr. Georgieva is still very successfully running this so beneficial activity.
The duration of the treatment course  is 10-15 days and is fully based on nature-derived healing products and procedures. The dietary regimen includes seasonal fruits, herbal teas, mineral water and about 30-40 g honey daily. Fasting treatment and gradual re-feeding are combined with physio- and manual therapy, herbal therapy, apitherapy, auriculotherapy, psychotherapy (with individual and group seances ), acupressure and water treatment with the curative mineral water of BANKYA.
